Temple of Heaven – another must see in Beijing
Today I used the good weather and visited the famous Temple of Heaven. It’s a complex of religious buildings/temples and a surrounding park. The main purpouse were annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for a good harvest. The main temple complex itself is very beautiful, but for me the park around it was much more interesting. You could see people doing all kind of sparetime activities. People were performing music, playing feather hacky sack, dancing, whip swinging…
